With over 25 years as a Transportation Professional, Derrick is the Head Uber’s Transportation Program, spearheading a multi-million-dollar transportation operation, focused on seamless, sustainable and multimodal mobility. He also serves as Senior Adviser in product development and transportation initiatives for Uber. Throughout his career, he has been a key stakeholder in the deployment of the company’s High-Capacity Vehicle (HCV) product in the US & Canada. Derrick is widely recognized as an industry trailblazer and was invited as guest speaker at the 2022 CRETech Conference.

Derrick formerly led Fleet Operations at UCSF, during this time he was featured in the “The Business Journals” as leading the way on how the university commutes to the campus, procuring an all-electric bus fleet and charging infrastructure. He has also held Leadership and Operational roles within Regional Public Transportation Agencies such as The San Francisco Municipal Transport Agency (SFMTA) and the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART).

As Chief Transport Officer at RollAway, Derrick will lead transportation policy, fleet procurement, infrastructure buildout, and operational development.
